The Proverbs of Wisdom

Objectives: (1) To understand the moral and religious instruction concerning life, wisdom, justice, purity, and temperance. (2) The student will develop a definition of wisdom that contrasts it with knowledge. (3) The student will be able to name at least three rewards of seeking wisdom. (4) The student will be able to tell why a son should heed his father's commands. (5) The student will be able to describe the spiritual and physical advantages of being faithful to one's mate. (6) The student will be able to characterize the wise and foolish persons. (7) The student will be able to identify the teachings of Proverbs about laziness. (8) The student will be able to identify the virtuous woman by her actions (Proverbs 31).

Comment: Much of the grief that people of all ages have endured could have been spared by reading and pondering the teachings of the book of Proverbs.
